Key takeaways from our annual Landscape Services Management Meeting

On Friday March 10 the team headed into Maidstone for our annual Landscape Services Management and Performance Meeting!

Joined by Commercial Services Group representatives from Finance and Health and Safety, we looked at the successes and challenges of the previous year ahead of April first, as well as our goals and expectations for the twelve months to come.

With presentations from Company Director Phil Morgan, Brand Manager Collette Compton, Operations Managers Mark Fairway and Simon Kidd, HSEQ Advisor Martin Norman, Asset Supervisor and Technician Pete Cox, Learning & Development Coordinator Rachel Conquest and EDT Assistant Manager Karen O’Connell, we had a jam-packed agenda with lots of key takeaways.

Here are just five things to be looking out for in 2023/24!

  • Comms 360 is imminent! For the last few months our operational and Experience and Development teams have been working hard to set this project up for each of our 500+ customers and 70+ staff. The unique customer management system promises a transparent and inclusive customer experience with better contract management and communication as standard. Comms 360 is so close we can almost touch it.

  • A customer focused approach – Alongside Comms 360 we also discussed the steps, processes, software and staff required to bring our customer service to the next level for 2023. One way we’re doing this is through key account management for customers with multiple accounts with Landscape Services – whether that be due to multiple locations or a group organisation. Stay tuned!

  • Landscape Services is making waves online. With the launch of our website in July 2022, Landscape hit a new chapter in its digital journey with all new service pages and a place not just to learn about the work we do but also why we do it! With the help of our external development partners we are seeing considerable growth online and you’ll be hearing more from us over social media, Google and the web in the coming months.

  • We’re introducing a revamped training matrix which will feed into individual staff development plans designed to upskill and educate, and allow team members to develop rewarding careers within Landscape Services. More on this soon.

  • We’ve invested in a whole bunch of new and replacement equipment this year, including three new leaf vacuums (arriving in autumn), a Grillo FD500 mower, six hand mowers, several Toro gang mowers and a variety of handheld tools. All equipment is chosen with the environment in mind, with several pieces purchased over the past year being electric and hybrid alternatives to traditional petrol equipment. We have more kit in the pipeline and another eleven vans on order so you you can expect to soon be seeing us wherever you go!

Landscape Services has a lot to get stuck into in 2023 and we can’t wait to begin sharing these key updates with you as they happen. We’re also recruiting for some exciting new roles and positions within the sales, operations and supply chain divisions, to help us on our journey.
