Our brand new Agria 9600
Landscape Services has recently taken delivery of their first hybrid mowing robot, the Agria 9600, at their depot in Tonbridge.
The Agria 9600 is a high grass rotary mulcher, specially designed to maintain uneven or hard to reach spaces without manual control. Thanks to its balanced weight distribution and crawler chassis the 9600 is able to manoeuvre inclines of up to a 55° making it a safer and more agile alternative to man-powered mowers, whilst its hybrid engine and two 10L petrol tanks allow for a cleaner and environmentally friendly machine without compromise on results.
The impressive remote-controlled mower machine arrived on Thursday morning and staff from both Tonbridge and Malling and Tunbridge Wells divisions were present to receive hands-on training.
Following a short introductory tour of the machine at our Haysden depot, the team took the Agria 9600 into Tonbridge where, alongside a certified Sales Demonstrator, they learned how to safely power up and power down the machine, how to operate economically and all seven staff members had the opportunity to operate the mower on a nearby bank.
Phil Morgan, Managing Director for Landscape Services, commented, “We maintain several sites throughout the South East which, due to steep banks, have always been a challenge for our workforce. This machine powers through a 30-40° bank in no time and with less risk to our staff.
“Those who have had an opportunity to trial the remote-controlled mower are over the moon and the features it has – particularly around safety and environmental impact – are incredible. After less than a week we are already seeing the benefits of our investment with the work it has done around Tonbridge and Malling.“
