A look back at our July Floortalks!

We’ve just concluded another round of floortalks, bringing together teams from our key depots in Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells & Tonbridge, Dartford and Thanet to share business updates from the past four months.

This year has been off to a great start within Community Services, and we've had many successes to update our teams about. Here's a roundup of what we discussed at July's floortalk events:

• Updates from our parent company, Commercial Services Group (CSG), including new structures and another joint venture addition with Connect2Swindon.

• Discussing our performance in delivering high quality results for our customers and how we can enhance and improve these further

• Welcoming new starters and celebrating colleagues who have recently been promoted.

• Celebrating success at the CSG Summer Awards, including our CEO Excellence Award win and a Staff Engagement Award for a member of the CSG Managing Waste team.

• Reviewing employee engagement results, including key strengths and areas for improvement.

• Sharing news of a significant contract win, with more details to follow soon.

• Discussing feedback from operational teams and the resulting route efficiency improvements made within Joblogic, our service management software.

• Highlighting upcoming training opportunities, including trailer towing and robotic line marking.

• Showcasing recent social value initiatives delivered across the business.

• Providing an update on new equipment and fleet investments arriving in the coming months.

As always, it was brilliant to use the floortalks as an opportunity to catch up with our operational teams, as well as office and support colleagues from across the county. Thank you to everyone who attended, and we'll see you again for our next round of floortalks in November!
