A rundown of our July Floortalks

A couple of weeks ago marked the latest round of Landscape Services’ floortalk events, where senior management and support services came together with our operational teams at various depots throughout Kent.

These triannual floortalk events offer the operational teams a chance to connect with the wider team, and receive key business updates regarding new equipment, structure changes, property investments and upcoming training opportunities.

With the busiest season of the year already in motion, there were many updates to discuss at July’s sessions from Landscape Services, but also our parent company Commercial Services Group and sister business, CSG Managing Waste. Some of these include but are not limited to:

  • Introducing two apprentices and celebrating a very special internal promotion.
  • Recognition of high-performing services this season, particularly pest control.
  • Discussions of recent investments into our existing depots, with upgrades like broadband, CCTV, fencing and fresh paintwork.
  • A recap of our Tractor Launch event, for those who were unable to attend.
  • We were pleased to inform the teams of the arrival of 30+ new pieces of equipment from the past three months, plus a range of smaller, handheld tools.
  • Looking ahead at key upcoming training opportunities and events for the team to get involved with, from grounds maintenance conventions to trade shows.

We’d like to thank the brilliant teams who were able to attend this quarter’s floortalk events, as well as our fantastic managers for hosting. It’s always a pleasure to meet up with all our colleagues from differing departments over a bacon roll and a coffee, and we can’t wait for the next series of floortalks in November – see you all then!
