A SWOZI training day for our ops team!

Last week three of our operational colleagues took part in a professional sports field line-marking training event, whereby they were given the opportunity to learn about and operate one of our two fantastic SWOZI cart pro GPS powered line markers on a site in Tonbridge.

Grounds Maintenance Operatives Dan, Paul and Jack set out for the field where Tonbridge and Malling Contracts Manager, Bruce, and Senior Team Leader, Andy, conducted a system set up run through. The session aimed to provide technical skills and build confidence within the team when using the SWOZI, allowing us to further utilise the equipment across all customer sites and locations.

The SWOZI line marker offers many benefits when it comes to sports turf line marking; its GPS technology ensures millimetre accuracy, reduces paint consumption and increases the time saved when marking out a field – as well as the number of man-hours required. With the latest tech we’re able to get more lines marked faster and more accurately for our customers, whilst the ability to save bespoke field templates ensure future use saving of up to 75% in time.

Through a series of training exercises and demonstrations, the team were taught how to create a new field and mark a line, plot a start point, place a field pattern, create a reference point, create a new field with the desired pattern intersecting the existing goal sockets, mark the line and finally, align a saved field to the ground.
