A visit from Commercial Services Group!
On May 11 Landscape Services met with Commercial Services Group Divisional CEO, Nicola Monk and Associate Director of Governance and Strategy, Nick Hunter, at our Haysden Depot.
Joined by Contracts Managers Colin Slattery and Bruce Bovey, as well as Head of Operations Mike Harris, our visitors were on site to find out how we deliver excellence in operational activities whilst remaining, safe and compliant with an ongoing focus on sustainability.
The tour started at our Haysden depot, understanding the facilities available and the routines of our staff. This was followed by a more in-depth walkthrough of some of our state-of-the-art equipment, including the remote controlled robomower, one of two GPS-powered Swozi line markers and a Toro ride on mower - the latest addition to our fleet. Nicola was even shown around one of our eight highly fuel-efficient New Holland tractors.
With a better understanding of our staffing structure and equipment, Nicola and Nick took a short drive to the prestigious Tonbridge Racecourse Sportsground, where they met the Tonbridge and Malling Grounds Maintenance team, and saw first-hand some of the fantastic work the team has been doing locally.
With a quick walk to Tonbridge Castle both guests were given a brief history of some of the most difficult challenges the team have faced over the years, including cutting steep banks, protecting historical structures and undertaking castle grounds renovation projects.
The visit was a huge success, with lots of questions asked and a real insight gained into the nature of our operations. We want to offer a huge thank you to Nicola and Nick for their time, and to our Tonbridge and Malling and Tunbridge Wells teams for being so welcoming.
