Going the extra mile!

One of our fantastic Contracts Managers, Michala, completed the 26-mile-long Thames Walk for MacMillan, for a very special cause.

Here at Landscape Services, we’re proud to celebrate the achievements and charitable work our team does.

Recently, our Contracts Manager, Michala swapped her steel-toe boots for hiking boots to complete a 26-mile-long Thames Walk in support of MacMillan.

Michala chose to raise funds for MacMillan following a close family member’s diagnosis earlier this year. She has experienced, first-hand, the impact this charity has made and the work they do in supporting families.

With her busy, active schedule over at Tonbridge & Malling, Michala is more than used to a long walk. Although, the Thames Walk was no playing field - this riverside hike equates to around 400 rugby pitches! While Michala did no official prior training, she showed the same resilience and dedication to completing her hike that she brings to her everyday role.

Through the generosity of Michala’s friends, family, colleagues and our wider community, Michala raised a total of £540 for MacMillan. We couldn’t be more proud of Michala for her achievement, and the example she sets for our team – whether we’re delivering operational excellence or helping those in need. Since her hike, Michala’s family member has received the ‘all clear’, and is now making a steady recovery.
