Investing in our people with the GMA
Landscape Services is committed to continuously investing in the professional development of our staff, so that we uphold the highest standard of services for our customers across each site.
As part of this commitment, our team partnered with the Grounds Management Association (GMA) to deliver a bespoke two-part cricket maintenance training programme for our operational team.
The course was tailored and designed specifically around our operation needs - as well as the existing experience and knowledge within our workforce. The training covered pre-season, in-season and end-of-season cricket square maintenance, combining classroom-style learning with hands-on practical sessions out on the field.
“It is important that our staff are trained and qualified to a standard which is both compliant and competent, to ensure they can undertake the contracts we have with our customers. We required an expert-led cricket training course with recognised accreditation and practical skills that could be immediately applied, and the GMA offered the best solution for our needs.” Learning & Development Coordinator, Rachel.
Delegates valued how practical and machine-focused the course was, which made this training course even more rewarding.
Assistant Contracts Manager, Adam:
“I thoroughly enjoyed the cricket maintenance course, and the instructor was spot on. The autumn renovations section was more hands-on with the cricket squares, which I personally always prefer. I’m happy to work for a company that values my development and am always interested in future training”
