Proud to be sponsors of the Green School Awards

Landscape Services are pleased to share that we are sponsoring the Green School Awards for six consecutive years. This is a brilliant event that support both schools and students in their environmental efforts and initiatives to protect the planet and educate the next generation of eco-warriors.

The awards ceremony itself takes place every November, where nominees, sponsors, friends and families attend to watch the showcase of hard work and impactful projects from the year. Focuses are usually around recycling, sustainability, wildlife conservation and energy saving.

As long-term sponsors of this fantastic community event, Managing Director Phil Morgan says:

“We are delighted to have sponsored the Green Schol Awards for six years now. The awards have been and continue to be an invaluable scheme to recognise outstanding innovations and projects from young people in Kent to improve our planet.

During our time supporting we have seen incredible ideas that have made real differences in schools and communities. We are proud to continue sponsoring this event.”

The launch for this year’s event started way back in June, where judges met at Herne School, for last year’s winners to show their allotments, woodland and outdoor learning areas. Key Accounts Manager, Mark Fairway, toured the school and got to see all of their work first-hand, as well as the opportunity to meet the school’s eco warriors and see some eco lessons in action!

How to enter the Green School Awards

The Green School Awards are open to all Kent schools, with entries easily submitted online through their website – these can be completed by yourself on behalf of a school or pupil. All you have to do is submit what eco-project has been undertaken, how the project was carried out and what was learned in the process – you can even include pictures and videos!
