Twenty new litter pickers for Highworth Grammar School

In October of last year we headed down to Highworth Grammar School in Ashford, with twenty brand new litter pickers as a gift for their excellent Eco Club!

The litter pickers were donated by Landscape Services to assist with Highworth’s ongoing project to smarten up the school and encourage positive environmental change amongst the students. Joined by Landscape Services Business Support Manager, Kerryanne, and Sales Account Manager, Travis, eight students armed with litter pickers took to the fields and the courts to clear the site of any rubbish they could find.

We had a fantastic afternoon with Highworth Grammar School and it was wonderful to see so many students engaged and willing to help. A huge thank you to Eco Club leader Sylvie McCutcheon for inviting us to the litter pick event; we are so pleased we could be a part of your eco journey.

Whilst on site, we also took the opportunity to check in on their new compost bin - won on our stand at our Education People Show 2022 - and were pleased to see it looking wonderfully full and working well alongside the school’s own bug hotel.
