We celebrate another exciting investment with Tuckwells
Landscape Services is proud to announce the addition of seven brand-new John Deere 6M tractors to its fleet, marking a significant investment in operational efficiency and safety. A fantastic launch and training event, held on the 2nd of May at Tuckwells' Sittingbourne depot, marked a momentous occasion offering us the opportunity to share our new fleet with drivers, staff - and even with a couple of our customers!
The event brought together management, executives, supporting staff, and our skilled tractor drivers for an unforgettable morning. Guests were welcomed with refreshments provided by The Coffee Shed before hearing opening remarks from Landscape Services' Managing Director, Phil, alongside the Tuckwells team, and Jo Masterman - FM Soft Services Contract Manager from Kent County Council, a key customer. Their speeches reflected on the shared history between both businesses and our commitments to an excellent partnership moving forward.
Attendees then moved on to a guided tour of Tuckwells' Sittingbourne depot, including workshops, the yard, and an in-house store filled with John Deere merchandise - some left with a keyring or two! A key highlight of the event was the opportunity for all staff to test-drive the new tractors, where drivers and supporting staff experienced first-hand the advanced technology and spacious cab, designed to enhance both safety and performance.
The morning concluded with a detailed handover session, where Tuckwells provided comprehensive training on the tractors' built-in tracking systems, maintenance protocols, operational features, and hitching techniques.
Why John Deere?
The technology features and wide cab are just some of the many benefits these John Deeres have to offer. These tractors also feature an advanced engine balancer, which offers improved suspension and comfort - our driers compared the suspension to driving on a cloud. John Deere 6M's are considered an ideal all-rounder within the industry, with the power, precision and comfort that make them ideal for a business like ours. This investment is an example of one of our many commitments to efficiency, sustainability and delivering operational excellence for our customers.
The arrival of these top-of-the-range machines is set to greatly improve Landscape Services' operations across Kent, supporting everything from routine grounds maintenance to larger-scale renovation projects. Managing Director Phil expressed his enthusiasm at the event, stating, 'This is a huge step for our division, and I cannot thank everyone involved enough'.
This successful launch event highlighted the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships with out suppliers and partners, something Landscape Services aspire to do within our business. We look forward to a productive future with Tuckwells, and are thankful to the wider team for hosting this event. A special thanks is extended to everyone who contributed to the event, including The Coffee Shed for their hospitality and, of course, our fantastic Landscape Services team for participating.
