Green School Awards 2024!

Social Enterprise Kent (SEK) will soon be hosting its annual Green School Awards event, celebrating the schools and students who are inspiring and encouraging positive environmental change throughout Kent, and in turn protecting the planet.

The event, taking place on November 29^th, 2024, is the result of months of nominations from various schools across Kent.

This is Landscape Services’ third year sponsoring the awards, and we’re honoured to once again have the opportunity to recognise and reward young people for being eco-conscious and making efforts to build towards a better future.

Past examples of initiatives raised and celebrated within Green School Awards have been;

• Cultivating garden areas within the school and educate students on planting
• Nature conservation – implementing bee farms or school litter picking events
• Reusing and recycling or setting up a designated recycling station
• Innovative ways to save energy
• Planting trees on school grounds
• Creating and promoting campaigns for community awareness on sustainability practices
