A visit from our Chairman!

We recently had the pleasure of a visit from Commercial Services Group’s Chairman, Philip Dearing - joined by Chief People Officer, Marcelle, and CEO of Strategic Services, Nicola - who popped in to learn about the work our local teams have been doing in the Maidstone area.

The tour began with a coffee and a discussion led by MD Phil Morgan, centred around our machinery, investments and the challenges of the industry as a whole. We then headed across the road to Oakwood Park, to see our Tractor Driver, Dave, in action; Nicola sitting shotgun as Dave demonstrated the power of our new Trimax Pegasus rotary mower.

Throughout the day our three VIPs had the opportunity to speak to several members of our operational team, including Danny, Starr, Dave and Michael, discussing some of the successes and challenges within their own roles. These visits have always been very much appreciated by both staff and visitor; our team are proud of the work they do and we take every opportunity to have that hard work recognised where possible.

The Commercial Services Group is an ever-expanding parent company, with 28 businesses within our extensive portfolio. Landscape Services has always been somewhat unique when compared to our colleagues across CSG in that we are service led and entirely community focused, so it’s always exciting to be able to showcase what we do and see our fantastic teams in action. And this was a sentiment echoed by our visitors, with Nicola Monk saying,

''Community Services (of which Landscape Services is part) epitomises first class front-line service delivery to the people of Kent.''

Nicola Monk, CEO of Strategic Services

We had a fantastic morning in the sun, sharing our time and the inner workings of our business with Philip, Marcelle and Nicola. We’d like to thank all three for their enthusiasm and our excellent operational teams, as well as fantastic Contracts Managers, for being welcoming and engaging hosts.

Here are some photos of the day!
