Our recap of our July Floortalks!
This week Landscape Services hosted its July 2024 series of Floortalk events, where we check in with our operational teams at depots across Kent.
First implemented in 2021, the Floortalks have become a crucial part of our culture, offering an opportunity not only for staff and support services to catch up and spend time with the wider team, but also to keep our operational units aware of the latest company changes, developments, investments and expectations which affect them.
With almost four months of the year already behind us and the season in full swing, we had plenty to share and discuss from both Landscape Services and the wider Commercial Services Group.
- Celebrating the internal promotion of our two new Regional Contracts Managers, Richard and Nicky.
- Discussing our recent launch of the CSG People Strategy, as a group of 28 businesses this is a critical success factor and an exciting evolution.
- Welcoming eight new members of staff, including Contracts Manager Michael, and our new Arboriculture Manager, David.
- An update on our exciting Tractor Demo project, which has involved many of our tractor drivers and prompted lots of discussions behind the scenes – more coming soon!
- Announcing the successful acquisition of two fantastic large contracts, due to commence in the coming months – which we are VERY excited about.
- Updating on our latest investments and outlining the plans for our Kent depots, as well as the delivery of new machinery.
- Sharing the news about the launch of our brilliant new training management programme, designed to enhance staff training and development.
- We were pleased to be joined by colleagues from Cantium, HR Connect, and CSG Health and Safety, who were on site to offer additional support services for our staff.
- We were also thrilled to host two of the events in our brand new depot in East Peckham!
A big thank you to everyone who attended these events with us. As always, we find these morning sessions essential and we hope you get as much out of them, and enjoy them, as we do! It has been great to check in and hear more valued feedback from our frontline teams.
See you all again in November!
