Our Tree Team's visit to Ashford

Our Arb team have been out planting...

Late last year our Arborist team headed over to Ashford to support one of our local customers in planting three healthy tree saplings on their grounds.

Our team were invited to assist students and teachers with the planting of three excellent young trees - Willow, Birch and Tibetan Cherry Blossom. The students were incredibly inquisitive and involved in the activity (with worms in particular spiking their interest, and our arborists explaining their importance in the fertilisation process!).

Planting trees is a fantastic way to help the environment;

  • Trees absorb carbon emissions, and in turn produce oxygen, promoting clean air across your outdoor spaces,
  • They provide habitats for wildlife, meaning you can do some backyard birdwatching,
  • And they improve the aesthetic appeal of both property and land.

The trees used in this project were chosen for their variety, their beauty (when established) and for their physical benefit to the school. For example, our arborists strategically planted the Willow sapling in an area of the school prone to flooding. Willows require a lot of hydration to thrive and this placement will aid in lowering the level of ground instead of left to sit and damage the grass.

Students and teachers were thrilled to have our tree team on site and to see the results of their hard work and efforts. A huge thank you to the school for their support and enthusiasm; We hope the students love their new trees just as much as we loved planting them!
